We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager, supporting our Advanced Wound Care portfolio across the South of the UK.

You'll be responsible for increasing sales of our Activheal product range to new and existing customers to ensure Activheal is their preferred supplier. You'll have complete territory ownership (i.e: formulary inclusions/contract timings & competitor knowledge), along with developing relationships with existing and new key decision makers and users of the Acitvheal range in your existing customer base.

We're looking for someone with a proven track record, who is able to build solid relationships, and has previous experience within a Wound Care segment.

What will this role involve?

  • Effective Territory Management of existing and prospective customers for the AMS Activheal portfolio to Acute and Community customers.
  • Strategic territory analysis and workload prioritisation to achieve sales growth and management of existing customer base. Evaluating return on investment when undertaking activities through implementation of CRM, sales data analysis, effective diary planning.
  • Proven experience of skilled customer presentations and education.
  • Proactive new business development with effective networking capability with all relevant clinical and procurement call points from base customers to high level interaction with ICS's.
  • Preparing and working from a comprehensive business plan for your territory to achieve sales targets and key business initiatives.
  • Market feedback to UK Sales Manager and wider AMS group on competitor intelligence and new innovations.
  • Managing evaluations of all products and formulary inclusions from discussion stage to implementation.
  • Develop and execute launch plans for new products in line with marketing strategy.
  • Market intelligence of territory for new formularies, contracts, and NPM/rebate agreements.
  • Effective management of the change process within the account, to ensure that all internal and external factors are covered to ensure the customer receives their products efficiently.
  • Timely management of complaints in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring you are up-skilling your knowledge to effectively carry out your duties.
  • Undertake role in line with company behaviour and values (Care Fair Dare).
  • Key Account Manager will be required to attend conferences and sales meetings periodically.
  • Home base role with frequent travel

What we're looking for?

  • Science or Business Degree.
  • Proven KAM sales experience preferably in wound care or medical devices.
  • Experience of managing sales growth through existing and new accounts, along with the launch of new products.
  • Expert knowledge of customer base, ideally experience of similar products and key contacts, competitor knowledge and understanding of customer needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinicians and key opinion leaders.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Effective sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel extensively within territory
