Position Purpose The Tasting Room Attendant plays a pivotal role in promoting wine sales, educating customers on Delicato's rich history, and ensuring an unforgettable customer experience. This position is perfect for those passionate about wine and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Exceeds customer service expectations in person and over the phone
• Greets guests and conducts wine tastings following established procedures
• Assists customers in selecting wines, sharing knowledge about winery history and varietals
• Handles POS transactions, including cash register operations, returns, and discounts
• Meets sales goals for wine and wine club memberships
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge on winery and wine-related information
• Assists with shipping via UPS/FedEx and keeps the tasting room stocked and clean
• Supports setup and breakdown for tasting room events

Minimum Requirements

• Basic understanding of winemaking
• Must be 21 years or older
• Prior customer service and cash register experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Winery setting with occasional lifting of wine cases

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $16.50 to $25.70 per hour
