New Customer Service Program at Jefferson State
Jefferson State Community College is excited to announce the launch of a new customer service program at its Shelby-Hoover campus, in collaboration with prominent local companies such as Alabama Power, ALFA, Ask Telecommunications, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Alabama, Protective Life Insurance, and Spire.
An information session is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. in Room 156 of the Judy Merritt Health Sciences Building. Leah Bigbee, the Dean of Workforce Education, expressed enthusiasm for the program, stating:
"Jefferson State is thrilled to offer a comprehensive training program designed to equip individuals with the essential skills needed for success in customer service careers. This program not only prepares participants for high-demand roles but also opens doors to career opportunities with some of the top companies across the state."
Program Details
- Duration: The program lasts eight weeks, commencing on Tuesday, April 1.
- Schedule: Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
- Curriculum: Participants will develop skills in effective communication, problem-solving, sales, customer relationship management, and cultural competence.
- Cost: Tuition is set at $1,000, with scholarships available.
- Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, Feb. 18.
