Consumer Outrage: FlightMover's Hidden Fees and Poor Service Exposed!

Consumer Complaints on FlightMover LLC

Complaints continue to pour in regarding FlightMover LLC, a travel company that has left many customers feeling frustrated. Upset customers allege that the company fails to disclose all the terms of their tickets, leading to unexpected charges. The FlightMover website advertises low air fares and 'Best Customer Care', which attracted traveler Joe Ferrazza when planning his holiday trip.

The Hidden Costs of Booking

Ferrazza's round-trip airfare from New York to Cincinnati around Christmas was advertised at just over $300. However, after booking, he received a call from the company informing him that his flight did not include a carry-on or personal item. To bring any luggage, he was told he would need to upgrade, with the new price quoted at nearly $900.

Ferrazza expressed disbelief, stating, “How can they not include a personal item and a carry-on bag?” To make matters worse, he claims the customer service representative pressured him, saying, “You’re going to pay for this anyway.”

Bait and Switch Tactics

Another traveler reported a similar experience, feeling that the upgrade she agreed to was a bait and switch tactic by FlightMover. The company currently holds an 'F' rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which has noted a pattern of complaints.

BBB Insights

According to Holly Salmons, BBB President, “The common theme in complaints is that consumers are not getting the travel combinations or tickets they expected.” Many complaints center around extra fees and terms that were not fully disclosed.

Customer Testimonials

One consumer's Google review warned, “For the love of God, please do not book anything with this company.” Ferrazza is now determined never to do business with FlightMover again, stating, “I will inform the Better Business Bureau and alert my bank.” Fortunately, he did not end up paying the extra fees and rebooked with another airline.

Important Advice for Travelers

Before booking any travel, ensure you do your homework and read reviews about the companies, especially if you are unfamiliar with them.
