Technical Account Manager (AccounTech) - Role Overview
The Technical Account Manager will own the full post-sale customer lifecycle, acting as the key point of contact from closed won through to onboarding, adoption, retention, and growth.
This is a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of Customer Success, Account Management, and Sales. The position requires someone commercially minded who can drive customer outcomes while also identifying opportunities to expand value across accounts.
You will combine strong technical understanding with relationship management and commercial awareness, ensuring customers not only adopt the platform effectively but continue to grow their usage over time.
Technical Account Manager (AccounTech)- Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact
- Lead onboarding and implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to live usage
- Deliver high-quality onboarding, training, and advisory sessions tailored to customer needs
- Drive product adoption and engagement, ensuring customers realise maximum value
- Identify and execute on opportunities for account growth, expansion, and upsell
- Maintain regular customer touchpoints, including reviews and strategic check-ins
- Support customers with technical queries, including data handling (e.g. CSV uploads, workflows)
- Build scalable processes across onboarding, support, and account management
- Work closely with Sales to ensure strong handovers and aligned commercial strategy
- Collaborate with Product to relay customer feedback and improve the platform
- Use data to monitor account health, retention, and growth opportunities
Technical Account Manager (AccounTech) - Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in a customer-facing SaaS role such as Technical Account Management, Customer Success, Implementation, Sales, or Account Management
- Direct experience working with accounting firms or within AML, KYC, identity verification, or compliance/workflow software environments
- Proven experience working in regulated or process-driven environments, with a clear understanding of onboarding, verification, and compliance workflows
- Commercial mindset with experience managing accounts, driving retention, and identifying opportunities for expansion or upsell
- Ability to confidently lead customer conversations, including onboarding, training, and ongoing account management discussions
- Technical confidence, including working with data (e.g. CSV files), configuring workflows, or supporting system usage
- Structured and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and drive outcomes independently
