Account Manager (Audit/Financial Data Analytics)

Remote (UK)

£40,000 – £55,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission (Just Under Double OTE)

Our client is a software vendor specialising in solutions for accounting, audit, and financial data analytics. Their platform helps organisations analyse financial data, strengthen internal controls, and improve reporting across the Office of Finance.

Account Manager (Audit/Financial Data Analytics) - Role Overview

Our client is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with organisations using internal audit and financial data analytics solutions.

The role focuses on developing existing customer relationships within internal audit teams while identifying opportunities to expand adoption of analytics tools across the wider Office of Finance, including finance leadership, risk, compliance, and data teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their operational challenges, demonstrate the value of advanced analytics and data-driven financial tools, and identify opportunities to expand licences, introduce additional software modules, and drive long-term customer value.

This is a consultative sales role combining account management, solution selling, and strategic relationship development within corporate organisations.

Account Manager (Audit/Financial Data Analytics) - Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing customers within internal audit teams across assigned accounts
  • Identify opportunities to expand adoption of data analytics and financial software tools across the wider Office of Finance, including finance leadership, risk, and compliance functions
  • Drive revenue growth through licence expansion, upselling, and cross-selling additional analytics and reporting solutions
  • Build and execute a strategic account plan for key customers
  • Deliver product demonstrations and clearly articulate the value of data analytics and financial insight tools
  • Apply a consultative sales approach to uncover customer challenges related to data analysis, reporting, and financial controls
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of expansion opportunities and provide accurate forecasting
  • Strengthen long-term customer relationships to maximise retention and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to support account-based engagement strategies
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings where required
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and follow established sales processes

Account Manager (Audit/Financial Data Analytics) - Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or Sales role within SaaS or technology environments
  • Track record of managing and expanding customer accounts
  • Experience selling software, SaaS, ERP, analytics platforms, or financial technology solutions
  • Experience working with customers using data analytics tools, financial reporting platforms, or audit technology is advantageous
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders within finance, risk, compliance, or data teams
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and close expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting capability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of accounting, audit, or financial analytics markets is advantageous
