JOB DESCRIPTIONRegional BDM / Account Manager (Main - VIC + TAS/SA)
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Working Arrangement: Remote, with regional travel
Role Purpose
The Business Development / Account Manager is responsible for farming and growing existing accounts while selectively driving targeted new business growth across Victoria (primary), South Australia and Tasmania.
This is a relationship-led role focused on:
- Retaining long-standing customers
- Growing GP dollar revenue within both new and existing accounts
- Supporting our clients expansion into OEM channels in partnership with internal specialists
ACCOUNTABILITIES / FUNCTIONSKey Result:
Exceed regional GP$ targets through maximising active accounts and
increasing average spend
Key Result Measurable: VIC/TAS/SA Region GP$ Growth
Accountabilities:
• Regional Revenue & GP Achievement
• Account Coverage & Forecasting
• New Business Acquisition
• Account Engagement, Health & Retention
• Sales Pipeline Management in CRM
Other Responsibilities:
• Availability to travel to customers & prospects
• Forecasting customer account spend
• Attendance at Trade Shows/Events, as required
• Assist with market intelligence and customer insights
• Assist in developing effective marketing campaigns
• Back up inbound telephone coverage, when required
Measurables:
• Regional GP$ vs target
• Regional revenue vs target
• Average active customer spend growth
• # of customer engagements logged (calls/emails)
• # of customer F2F meetings logged
• # of new customers acquired
• # of active customers
• Opportunity pipeline value
• Quote conversion rate

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Passion for Truck, Automotive & Machinery Industry
• Proactive mindset to handle challenges
• Flourish with minimal guidance, adapting in a fast-changing environment
• Ability to negotiate and close deals
• Ability to build and nurture long-term relationships (customers and networks)
• Ideally 3+ years of experience in an Account Management / BD Sales role
• Valid Driver's License required
• Confidence and ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Good time management and prioritisation skills to complete tasks within a
business environment
• Logical and effective problem solver
• Willingness to learn and positive attitude
