TransPerfect Legal Solutions (TLS) is hiring our FIRST employee in Perth! This Business Development Manager will focus on identifying, pursuing and closing sales prospects for all of TLS’s legal services and technologies.

We’re seeking a candidate based in Perth, Australia. While we currently do not have an office in Perth, we plan to open one in the future. This role will begin as a fully remote position, which will transition to an in-office or hybrid arrangement once our Perth office is established.

We have over 160+ offices worldwide, and Perth will be an exciting addition to our global presence.

THE ROLE:

The Business Development Manager will possess strong sales, interpersonal and organizational skills. They should be comfortable with multitasking and be able to budget their resources in order to meet the assigned quotas for their role. They should have experience in consultative sales of e-discovery solutions with an emphasis on sales or consulting directly to law firms and corporate legal departments.

Description:

  • Develop prospective clients through several strategies including internet research, trade show lists, referrals, various professional directories and personal investigation
  • Source and close new clients through cold calling, referrals, networking, and other means (tradeshows, regional organizations, etc.)
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients by delivering elite client service and engaging them by using knowledge of each industry and organization
  • Formulate a sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Generate daily outreach efforts to prospective clients
  • Build a productive pipeline and manage each phase of the sales process
  • Develop project budgets and create proposals
  • Instil confidence among clients with your personal credibility and experience and the company’s footprint in the e-discovery space.
  • Establish customer relationships that enable TLS to be viewed as a trusted advisor.
  • Understand and articulate TransPerfect’s full line of business offerings, capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages, and identify and refer opportunities within each of these areas to specialist sales and client service teams to close
  • Set and manage client expectations while consulting with each client for best practices
  • Manage and control pricing and contractual issues
  • Travel (including multiple annual conferences, client meetings) - domestic and/or international

Required Skills:

  • 3-6 years experience in business development and sales in eDiscovery/litigation support
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Proven sales life cycle experience - lead generation through business closing
  • Proven track record in achieving sales target
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management
