Engagement Manager

Salsa Digital is looking for an Engagement Manager to come join our team, working 24 hours a week with the potential of up to 38 hours by mutual agreement for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension.

You will be responsible for:

• Building a genuine relationship with client project team stakeholders.
• Engendering a project culture which enables open communication, trust and respect.
• The successful delivery of assigned projects.
• Ensuring client satisfaction of project outcomes and deliverables within reasonable commercial constraints.
• Managing project risk and issues, budget, scope, resourcing, conflicts and blockages.
• Ensuring projects are delivered using agile methodologies to balance the interests of clients and Salsa stakeholders.
• Creating agile product backlogs for projects.
• Refining and prioritising tickets within a controlled budget to achieve project MVP and beyond.
• Representing Salsa delivery methodology during the pre-sale phase of projects.
• Supporting Business Development Managers in understanding and securing potential new business.

The project team assigned to specific projects will report to you as the Engagement Manager for the duration of projects.

Although Salsa appreciates and embraces diversity the preferred candidate will be based in Australia and ideally an Australian Citizen. Baseline clearance or eligibility for Baseline clearance is a bonus. This position works from home during AEST business hours.

Must Haves:

• Technical knowledge of Drupal and GovCMS to the level that you are able to identify technology gaps and apply risk mitigation for re platforming.
• 10+ Years experience in delivery of projects/programs of work at an enterprise level.
• Government and enterprise experience.
• Significant experience in the delivery of projects/programs using agile methodologies
• Experience in the design of work breakdown structures and plans and management to such plans. Application of agile methods to govern/execute such plans.
• Experience in managing project stakeholders - ensuring all project stakeholders have transparency into project progress and are accountable and informed.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience using Salsa standard engagement tools such as Jira, Confluence, slack, Google Suite.
• Experience delivering projects using open source frameworks such as Drupal and CKAN.
• Security clearance.
