The Role
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Consultant to lead the development and maintenance of Safetrac's compliance content, ensuring it remains accurate, current and commercially relevant. This role is responsible for interpreting complex legislation and regulatory requirements, translating them into practical learning solutions, and driving the strategic direction of our compliance content portfolio.
The role leads compliance content strategy, mentors and develops a growing team of compliance professionals, and works closely with Content, Technology, AI and Client teams to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences. By combining deep compliance expertise with commercial awareness and innovation, the role helps ensure Safetrac continues to provide trusted compliance solutions to workplaces across Australia.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development, review, and maintenance of compliance training, legal resources, and supporting content.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assess their impact, and translate requirements into practical workplace guidance.
- Ensure compliance content remains accurate, current, commercially relevant, and aligned with legislative requirements and industry best practice.
- Mentor, support, and develop the Compliance Consultant through coaching, knowledge sharing, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with Content, Technology, AI, Client Services, Sales, and other internal teams to deliver high-quality compliance solutions.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support client enquiries, product development, and business initiatives.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of Safetrac's compliance content portfolio through continuous improvement and innovation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance compliance learning through AI, technology, and emerging industry trends.
- Support the development of new products, services, and compliance solutions to meet client and market needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand compliance requirements and deliver value-added solutions.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all compliance content and resources.
- Adhere to Safetrac's vision, values, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate adaptability to changing legislation, technologies, business priorities, and evolving client requirements.

- Strong knowledge of Australian compliance, legal, workplace relations, governance, or regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent legal research, analysis, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to interpret complex legislation and translate it into clear, practical, and engaging learning content.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in Law, Commerce, Business, Governance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, legal, workplace relations, governance, risk, or a related advisory role.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying Australian legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience researching, drafting, or reviewing legal, compliance, or policy documentation.
- Proven ability to translate complex legal or regulatory information into practical guidance for a business audience.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Admitted Australian Legal Practitioner or eligible for admission.
- Experience developing compliance training, eLearning, or educational content.
- Leadership or mentoring experience.
- Experience working with AI-assisted content creation or legal research tools.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) or compliance technology platforms.
- Experience working in a SaaS, technology, consulting, or professional services environment.
