What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide exceptional patient service on behalf of the employer
- Contact patients via telephone to collect payment on medical bills
- Communicate accurate information to patients in a clear, concise, and professional manner
- Review patient accounts and document interactions and feedback
- Negotiate appropriate and reasonable payment arrangements with customers
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Prior medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle experience strongly preferred
- Basic computer skills necessary
- One to two years of college preferred
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in a fast-paced call center environment
- Strong negotiation skills to handle payment discussions effectively
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment
- Familiarity with healthcare billing processes and regulations
