Customer Facing Generalist 

Microburbs — Australia's property data platform

Microburbs gives property investors and buyer's agents data that nobody else has. We analyse 368,000 micro-areas across Australia, scoring every street for growth potential, safety, schools, and liveability. Our customers find undervalued pockets that suburb-level data misses entirely.

People love the site. Customers regularly tell us it is the best property research tool they have used. The data is deep, the interface is visual, and new features ship every week.

We are hiring 4 salespeople to demo the platform, convert warm leads, and grow our customer base. You will be one of the first dedicated sales hires. Potential for commission or stock options as the role grows.

TYPE: Part-time / Flexible - Minimum 15 hours per week

RATE: $30 - $60/hr negotiable with commissions / share options 

LOCATION: Remote with Sydney office option

START: Immediate

Activities - you will do most of these, depending on your skills

  • Demo the platform over video calls. Walk customers through suburb reports, property valuations, and growth forecasts. Help them understand what the data means for their specific situation.
  • Convert warm leads. People who sign up, attend webinars, or come through podcast appearances. Get them on a call, understand their goals, match the right plan.
  • Create industry partnerships. 
  • Upsell and retain. Check in with existing customers. Show them features they have not discovered yet. When someone wants to cancel, find out why and turn it around.
  • Outbound to high-value prospects. Buyer's agents, agencies, mortgage brokers, and property educators.
  • Nurture the community. Help run webinars, support buyer's agent groups, and build relationships that turn into long-term accounts.
  • Keeping an open mind and learning about customers. 
  • Feed insights back. Report what customers ask for, what confuses them, and what competitors they mention.
  • Help create video content.

  • Property investors looking for data-backed confidence before spending $300k+.
  • Buyer's agents who need an edge. They use Microburbs to shortlist suburbs and generate comparison reports their competitors cannot get.
  • Property tech companies who need our data via API.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in real estate, property investment, or adjacent industries. You know what a buyer's agent does and why vacancy rates matter.
  • Comfortable on the phone and on video. Can build rapport quickly.
  • Good at explaining user interfaces and helping people interpret data. You can walk someone through a screen and make complex numbers feel simple.
  • Genuine customer empathy. You care about whether the person on the other end of the call actually gets value from the product.
  • Curious about people and technology. You do not need to code, but you pick up new tools quickly.
