We're not looking for someone who "does marketing." We're looking for someone who runs experiments like a scientist and moves like a founder.

You've used AI to speed up your output. You know that 2026 growth looks nothing like 2024 — you're not scheduling social posts, you're building systems that find and convert customers while you sleep.

The gig

Microburbs is Australia's most comprehensive property intelligence platform. We've 3x'd revenue year-on-year, and we're just getting started.

We're an AI-native company before it was cool. Our entire knowledge base — customer transcripts, sales calls, competitor intel, what's converting and what's not — lives in a queryable AI system. You'll have access to it from day one. Want to know why customers churn? Ask. Want to find the exact words that close deals? It's all there.

We need someone to turn that into growth. Find the channels. Run the experiments. Scale what works. Kill what doesn't.

Hours

Flexible and you can be fully remote if you wish (onsite options also available at our Sydney office). 20+ hours per week. Full time is fine too.

What you'll actually do

• Own the full acquisition funnel: awareness → interest → trial → paid → retained
• Run rapid experiments across channels — SEO, paid, content, partnerships, cold outreach, whatever works
• Dive deep into analytics to find what's actually driving revenue (not just traffic)
• Listen to customer calls and mine transcripts to find messaging that resonates
• Build scrappy campaigns that punch above their weight
• Work directly with founders to shape go-to-market strategy

This is for you if:

• You've grown something before — a product, a newsletter, a side hustle, a previous company's pipeline
• You're obsessed with metrics but know that not everything that counts can be counted
• You're rigorous about measurement. You know the difference between correlation and causation
• You can write copy, set up a campaign, read a dashboard, and have a hypothesis for why it's not working
• You use AI tools to move faster, not as a crutch
• You'd rather run 10 small experiments than one big campaign
• You get frustrated watching companies waste money on brand awareness they can't measure

• You want to manage an agency and review their work

Compensation

• $35/hour base rate
• 1% equity per year in stock options — you're building this with us
• Up to 4% additional equity per year for top performers — we reward people who move the needle
