About the Role

Metrocart UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of our consultancy and advisory services. This role focuses on identifying and securing clients for our business consultancy, food consultancy, food sales and distribution advisory, and market expansion solutions.

This is a commission-based role suited to commercially driven professionals who are confident in generating revenue, building relationships, and opening new business opportunities. The role is ideal for individuals who understand the UK commercial landscape and can operate independently to deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and onboard new clients seeking consultancy support across the UK

• Generate business opportunities for services including:

o Business Growth & Market Expansion Consultancy

o Food Consultancy o Food Sales & Distribution Advisory

o Operational and Strategic Consultancy Services

• Drive customer acquisition and support long-term client relationships

• Build and actively manage a pipeline of prospects, partnerships, and consulting engagements

• Conduct market and sector research to identify demand areas and growth opportunities

• Present Metrocart’s consultancy services to prospective clients

Consultancy-Focused Engagement Areas

Business Growth & Market Expansion Consultancy

• Advise businesses on entering new markets

• Identify target customer segments

• Support planning of expansion strategies

Product Portfolio & Strategic Planning Consultancy

• Assist clients in selecting product lines

• Optimise product offerings

• Develop strategic growth plans Operational Efficiency Consultancy

• Analyse workflows, supply chains, and processes

• Recommend improvements for efficiency and scalability

IT & Systems Strategy Consultancy (Management-Focused)

• Guide businesses in selecting operational systems

• Support implementation strategies that enhance oversight and decision-making

Private Label / Co-Branding Strategy

• Advise on launching private-label products

• Support sourcing, pricing, and distribution planning

Turnkey Business Model Guidance

• Provide advisory support for setting up takeaway shops or small outlets

• Cover operations, workflow, supplier access, and systems strategy

• (Advisory only — excludes regulated food safety compliance)

Project & Business Planning Consultancy

• Support planning of new initiatives

• Define goals, KPIs, and implementation strategies

Organisational Infrastructure & Team Building Consultancy

• Support startups and scaling businesses in designing internal infrastructure

• Advise on HR structures, operational processes, marketing teams, and workflow design

• Help establish scalable organisational systems

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or consultancy

• Strong understanding of relationship-led B2B sales cycles

• Confidence in outreach, negotiations, and follow-ups

• Results-driven and commercially aware mindset

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Comfort working in a growth-stage environment

• Familiarity with the UK market

Compensation & Engagement Structure

• Commission-only role

• No fixed salary component at this stage

• Commission linked directly to revenue generation and cash collection

• Full commission details discussed during interview
