 Location: Remote (Australia)

 Type: Casual hours (part-time considered)

Hero Software is looking for a NatHERS Technical Support Consultant to join our friendly, growing team of sustainable design enthusiasts and software devs! If you’ve spent the last few years modelling real NatHERS projects using Hero, enjoy helping others solve tricky technical challenges and would love to help improve our building energy modelling platform, this role is for you.

About the RoleYou’ll be the go-to person for our users modelling NatHERS projects using Hero, providing expert guidance on software features, troubleshooting issues, assisting in training and sharing best-practice modelling advice. This is a remote, flexible-hours position — perfect if you’re looking to fit meaningful work around other commitments.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, clear, and friendly technical support to Hero users via support-desk (email, chat, and video calls)
  • Assist users with training, onboarding, interpreting modelling results, identifying potential errors, and optimising workflows.
  • Help users navigate the Hero interface and understand Hero features and NatHERS compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Hero team to suggest improvements and identify common user pain points.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NatHERS protocols, NCC requirements, and Hero’s latest features.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–2+ years modelling real NatHERS projects in Hero (must be recent and hands-on).
  • Solid understanding of NatHERS, compliance pathways, and NCC energy efficiency requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Flexibility in hours to suit on-demand support cases and monitor daily support requests in a timely manner
  • Friendly, patient, and keen to help people succeed.
  • You have a Cert IV in Home Energy Efficiency & Sustainability, are NatHERS Accredited & Hero Trained

Nice to Have

  • Experience providing technical support or training.
  • Familiarity with other energy modelling tools.
