Position: Automation Engineer with expertise in Opkey

Location : Sydney or Anywhere in Australia

Duration: 12 months

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in Opkey to join our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QEA) Tech Center of Excellence (COE). The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation from traditional QA to modern QE practices, contributing to automation strategy, innovation, and talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development & Maintenance:
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Opkey to support continuous testing and quality assurance across projects.
• QE Transformation Initiatives:
• Act as a key contributor in QEA Tech COE initiatives focused on evolving QA practices into QE, leveraging modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Innovation & Problem Solving:
• Identify unified approaches to solve testing challenges and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate new tools and techniques.
• Recruitment Support:
• Collaborate with HR and technical teams to support recruitment drives, including candidate evaluation and interview participation.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Opkey or similar automation platforms.
• Strong understanding of QA/QE methodologies and tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:Experience with CI/CD Tools

Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to integrate automation into continuous delivery pipelines.

Knowledge of API Testing

Understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and experience with tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.

Scripting Languages

Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or VBScript to enhance automation capabilities.

Cloud Platforms Exposure

Experience working with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP, especially in test automation contexts.

Performance Testing Tools

Exposure to tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling for basic performance testing.

Version Control Systems

Hands-on experience with Git or similar version control systems for managing test assets and collaboration.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
