About us
Bunnik Tours is a family-owned & people-first small group tours company, which has an established track record of delivering exceptional travel experiences to our customers for 30 years. We’re passionate about what we do and are continually striving to provide a better way for travellers to see the world. We do this, by providing small group tours to some of the world’s most exciting destinations, including Africa, Egypt & Middle East, Europe, Asia, South & Central America, amongst others!
With a strong focus on our team culture and customer-centric approach, we’re recognised for providing award-winning service, personalised care and travel expertise to our clients. Due to business growth, we're now seeking another Business Development Manager, to join our expanding team. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, relationship-driven BDM to share your passion for travel with our valued trade partners.
About the role
In this hands-on Business Development Manager role, you will be primarily responsible for building trusted relationships with our business partners and travel agents, driving trade sales growth across the NSW region. Working remotely and reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, you will act as a primary point of contact for our existing agent base, building strong commercial relationships and positioning Bunnik Tours as their preferred touring partner. This role will see you ‘on the road’, frequently visiting your partners.
This opportunity is well suited to a proactive, people-focused sales professional who thrives on the road, enjoys engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, is confident driving sales growth towards KPI’s and can confidently represent the Bunnik Tours brand at trade events, training sessions and industry functions.
Your other key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Representing Bunnik Tours at trade expos, conferences, industry gatherings and promotional events, including potential interstate and overseas travel.
- Delivering engaging product training & educational sessions, workshops and service presentations to travel agents and consortia groups, both during business hours and at after-hours events.
- Managing a structured visit schedule across NSW, conducting regular in-person sales calls and planning agency appointments up to 12 months ahead.
- Acting as a go-to contact for agent queries, providing product updates, sales support and market insights to drive booking growth.
- Coordinating and hosting trade functions and educationals/famils to increase agent engagement and strengthen brand advocacy.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, managing pipelines, and reporting on call activity, sales trends and business development outcomes.
About you
The successful candidate will have established experience as a Business Development Manager or in a sales role within the travel industry (touring or cruising experience is advantageous). Ideally, you will possess demonstrated experience engaging with travel agents, delivering product training, and representing a brand within the industry. You will thrive in a relationship-driven role, be confident presenting to groups of varying sizes, and enjoy building long-term partnerships across retail travel networks. Highly organised and proactive, you will be comfortable managing your own schedule, maintaining accurate CRM records, demonstrating proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, and working autonomously while staying closely connected with the wider sales team.
Your ability to communicate clearly, adapt to different audiences, and represent the Bunnik Tours brand with professionalism and enthusiasm will be key to your success. A passion for travel, a willingness to attend after-hours events, and the flexibility to travel interstate or internationally as required are essential in this dynamic role.
