The Role We are on the lookout for motivated, passionate and genuinely technically minded professional to take over a newly created Technical Sales Support position within the company’s mining division. This newly created role is an extremely important and vital position within the team that will offer genuine long-term career stability and career growth. The role of Technical Sales Support will see you providing critical back-end support across the broader national sales team with a focus across the company’s mining division. You will work closely with the sales team acting as the bridge between sales, engineering, operations and the client whilst making sure the clients receive a high-quality experience throughout the sales cycle. This role is a remote position that will see you working from and require a home office. As the sales team and clients are all nationally present, this will see you corresponding with everyone via phone, email and video calls. There will be some very minor travel from time to time. Key Responsibilities As the Technical Sales Support lead, you will be in a role that requires you to wear multiple hats. Some of your key responsibilities and duties of this position include the following.

  • Presales technical and commercial support
  • Assisting with quotations and proposal support
  • Assisting with CRM data
  • Providing clients with key information and timelines
  • Provide sales staff with clear and precise feedback and updates
  • Review internal specifications and drawings
  • Stepping in and speaking directly with customers when needed
  • Raising of questions or concerns from clients with relevant staff members
  • Coordinate products, systems and information between both sales and clients to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all parties
  • Assist relative parties with technical documentation and data tracking

About You As this is an entirely remote role, we require someone who is not only self-manageable and self-motivated, but someone who is comfortable in working within an environment where communication will primarily be through emails, phone calls and Teams conversations. As well as this, the below are the requirements we need for this position.

  • Experience within the mining industry either across underground or open pit. Ideally within a technical support, engineering or internal position
  • Whilst and engineering degree would be favorable, it is not essential for this position
  • Experience preparing quotations and technical proposals
  • Ability to interpret technical drawing, specifications and schematics
  • Confident to support multiple team members on different proposals at once
  • Proficient with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Be a very strong communicator both written and verbally
  • Have a high degree of problem solving and analytical skills
  • Be calm under pressure and time lines
  • Be able to collaborate effectively within a broader team

On Offer We are open to exploring someone both junior or slightly more experienced. We do provide a strong on boarding process and will continue to work closely with you to train you up and make sure you are supported.

  • Base Salary $80k - $120k
  • Super at 12%
