This role is part of Alcon's Sales & Sales Support function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels in an effort to drive customer satisfaction with eye care professionals to help people see brilliantly. The Sr. Associate, Ocular Health Pharma Field Sales (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for achieving sales targets and promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals within a specific territory. You will develop business plans, implement sales activities, and provide key account support while maintaining product knowledge and handling inquiries professionally. Specifics include:
- Achieve sales targets and promote products to medical practitioners and allied healthcare professionals for a specific account, product, or territory
- Develop business plans and implement activities like customer events, sales and marketing campaigns, and sales presentations
- Propose drugs from the pharmaceutical product list to doctors, providing complete scientific information and informing them about the pharmacological and therapeutic characteristics of medicines, medical devices, and supplements
- Provide key account and hospital network support, including market access and referral networks
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of products, strategy, positioning, key messages, and competitor information
- Manage and maintain relations with the medical class, ensuring customer satisfaction and strong relationships
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all reports
- Handle inquiries and complaints quickly and professionally, following company procedures
- Follow adverse events guidelines and Code of Conduct Guidelines as promoted by Alcon
- Contribute positively to the Sales and Marketing team through cooperative relationships and collaborative efforts
- Provide input into the effective use of promotional funds and territory sales forecasting
- Regularly update health professionals on the therapeutic indications of the drugs and collect feedback on promoted drugs, reporting unwanted side effects
