About the Role
This opportunity is for an IT Systems and Identity Specialist supporting internal IT operations, identity management, cloud-based systems administration, workforce technology infrastructure, and day-to-day technical support within a fully remote environment.
The role combines hands-on IT support, user lifecycle management, SaaS administration, endpoint management, and IT operations support. This position is responsible for maintaining reliable access to devices, systems, applications, and collaboration tools while helping improve operational efficiency, security, and automation workflows.
The specialist will support employees across Windows and Mac environments, manage user accounts and permissions in Microsoft Entra ID and third-party platforms, administer multi-factor authentication, troubleshoot access issues, and contribute to cloud-based systems administration and operational improvements.
The role also includes device lifecycle management, including procurement, imaging, deployment, inventory tracking, and end-of-life processes for company hardware. In addition, this position supports third-party SaaS configuration, healthcare technology systems, documentation management, ticket workflows, automation initiatives, and infrastructure-related projects under the guidance of IT leadership.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on IT support for laptop issues, software configuration, access requests, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
- Handle inbound IT support tickets and track issue resolution through completion.
- Escalate complex technical issues appropriately when required.
- Manage the procurement, imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of Mac and Windows laptops.
- Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for device provisioning and support.
- Maintain accurate device inventory records and lifecycle tracking.
- Configure devices for end users and ensure readiness for onboarding.
- Administer user lifecycle management in Microsoft Entra ID and third-party SaaS platforms.
- Create, modify, disable, and offboard user accounts across systems.
- Manage user roles, permissions, licenses, and group memberships.
- Administer multi-factor authentication (MFA) and troubleshoot authentication issues.
- Support access control administration across cloud applications and internal systems.
- Troubleshoot user access denials and account-related issues.
- Configure, support, and troubleshoot third-party SaaS platforms and healthcare-related systems.
- Log, prioritize, and manage support requests using Jira Service Manager.
- Maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, issue tracking records, and operational procedures.
- Assist with IT infrastructure documentation and operational process improvements.
- Support broader IT operations initiatives under IT leadership guidance.
- Identify operational gaps, workflow inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Assist with automated provisioning systems, ticket triage workflows, and device lifecycle automation initiatives.
- Provide feedback and observations to improve automation and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, help desk support, or a similar technical role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 environments, including Teams, Exchange, and SharePoint.
- Experience using Jira Service Manager or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately when needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Experience supporting Windows and Mac devices.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Experience managing device imaging, deployment, inventory tracking, and end-of-life processes.
- Experience managing user accounts and permissions in cloud identity platforms such as Entra ID or Okta.
- Experience supporting SaaS applications and cloud-based infrastructure environments.
- Willingness to learn healthcare IT compliance requirements, including HIPAA and HITRUST frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and automation platforms.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104, or equivalent credentials.
- Experience working in healthcare technology or compliance-focused environments.
- Experience managing mixed Mac and Windows device fleets.
- Experience working with MDM tools such as Mosyle, Jamf, or similar platforms.
Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
