Job Title: Customer Service Representative - Benefit DisbursementContract Type: 6+ MonthsWork Type: 100% RemotePosition Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefit Disbursement Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional support to clients regarding retirement plan payments. This role involves managing both periodic and non-periodic payments, performing check reconciliations, and assisting clients with tax processing. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate responses to client requests.Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client inquiries related to retirement plan payments, including periodic and non-periodic payments.
  • Assist clients in understanding various payment options, such as lump-sum distributions, death benefits, rollovers, and loan withdrawals.
  • Reprint and reissue tax forms as needed, verify current records, and provide change request forms to participants.
  • Perform check reconciliations and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of all disbursement requests.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Uphold a high standard of client service, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a commitment to client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in financial services or retirement benefits.
  • Strong understanding of retirement plans, payment disbursement processes, and tax form reprinting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with retirement plan administration or financial transactions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with retirement plan payment options, including lump-sum distributions, rollovers, and loan processing.
